History of the D.E.E.P. program in Vietnam

In 2018, the Lay Dominicans of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Province (Western U.S.) first sent a representative to teach at the summer English language program at the House of Studies of the Vietnamese Dominican Province (Queen of Martyrs Province.) Follow this link to read the journal of the 2018 D.E.E.P. experience.

The summer of 2019 was a proud and busy one for Queen of Martyrs Province, as the General Chapter of the Order of Preachers was held in Vietnam that year, but this meant that there was no summer English language program at the House of Studies. There was a less than happy reason for the suspension of the summer English program for the next two years, as the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the world. While it was not possible for the Western Province to send D.E.E.P. volunteers to Vietnam during this period, we are grateful to Brother Duy, who has kept in touch and has reported on these years with photography, as you can see by following this link to the quiet years.
